The apartment is located in the Eixample Dreta district, designed by Ildefonso Cerdà and constructed in the 19th century. The Eixample is a unique area where you can find the most outstanding of the modernist architecture, such as Gaudí s "Sagrada Familia" church, "La Pedrera", "Casa Batlló" and "Casa Milá" museums. Just a few steps from the apartment you will find Paseo de Gracia Avenue, well known for its fashionable shops of famous brands and a great variety of "tapas" bars and sophisticated restaurants.

The neighborhood felt safe and is excellent and convenient to everything -- and many restaurants. (We loved the little sandwich/pastry shop down the street for morning coffee.) My wife and I travelled with our two teens, and there was plenty of room.

Anonymous: 14/06/2010; modern apartment with all the comfort like airco, complete kitchen, elevator directly to the apartment, and quiet bedrooms at the backside of the apartment. The apartment is perfect situated near the exclusive passeige de gracia shopping street and the subway/metro station (5? per day for unlimited use). there are several good tapas restaurants and coffeebars in the neighbourhood.

Lots of excellent restaurants in walking distance- L Olive, Taller Tapas, Cervezerria Catalunya,Cinc Sentis,Gaig, Tapas 24, Fiaminnia,etc. Easy to get anywhere in town. Hebe and Ezekial(sp) were extraordinairily helpful. We will be back. The Deckers.
