Anonymous: 03/09/2009; To my surprise, the appartment looked exaclty the same as the pictures we based our decision on, which does not happen very often. It was safe, clean and equipped in a modern way. The kitchen included all necessary dishes and kitchen appliances (even more than needed). The hallway was also kept clean all the time.
As for the service, the employees were always available on the phone and very helpful.
The location of the appartment Sagrada Familia 6 is situated in a very strategic location (2 blocks from teh actual Sagrada Familia) and in walking distance from 2 metro lines as well as to several supermarkets and fruit stores.

We would happily recommend you to use the service of The Lodging Barcelona.

The location seemed to be in an area where every night clubber, in Barcelona hung out after the had been out for a night, where they sang, cheered and continued to party until sunlight! The elevator wasn t working the evening we were there, and it was a huge amount of steps we had to climb with a stroller and baby. Overall, the apartment was okay, hopefully the roach and water problem is resolved.

Anonymous: 14/04/2008; The apartment is in a great location, very close to Placa de Catalunya. It is a nice neighborhood, there is a supermarket just across the road, a pharmacy and everything you need is just 10 minutes away.

The contact person was really kind and helpful. The apartment has two bathrooms and even if they are small they were really useful. We found a brand new baby cot for our child. Linen, towels ect. are all there for you and we had the nice surprise of finding a dishwasher that could be spotted in one of the pictures of the kitchen, but was not listed on the website. There is ADSL which is also wireless, great if you want to use your laptop and work outside using the large terrace.

Overall, a great stay and we would go back again.

Anonymous: 09/08/2008; The apartment is very well furnished and wonderfully located. The people from the market across the street were frienldy and helpful. The subway is only one block away and extremely convenient. In addition, the bus from the airport left us very close by as well.

Apartment is in great condition with great facilities, hundreds of CD s, Playstation, TV etc... and furniture.

Anonymous: 04/06/2009; This apartment was ideally located. Close to everything with a wonderful birdseye view of the La Rambla "reality show" out of the bay window. You could never leave the apartment and be thoroughly entertained! It was however a bit noisey. Some sort of sound-proofing would be helpful. Otherwise fantastic at a great rental price.

The location was great, near las ramblas, port vell, barcaloneta beach and the tube which is 10 euros for 2 day unlimited travel. There s various eateries especially down the road by Port Vell. Scenery is beautiful round this area.

Anonymous: 21/08/2009; The apartment was very lovely and had a great location and was very central. It was very spacious and we never felt cramped even though there were alot of us in the apartment. The only downside was there there is very little light coming in to the apartment no matter how many windows you opened you couldnt get much light and the lighting in the house wasnt bright enough or there werent enough lights to counter this. BUT overall we had an excellent stay and the accomodation was beautiful!

The apartment was comfortable and located in a very central position, 5 minutes far from Las Ramblas and the Catedral. Anonymous: 09/03/2009; Central located in nice quiet old neighbourhood with lovely small shops. Walking distance to Picasso Museum, Palau de la Musica, Metro 4. Appartement on 4th floor without elevator. Steep narrow stairs were a hell especially with suitecases. Shower gives little water, narrow entrance and is small (70x70). Squeeking small beds (140) and instable (sleeping) sofa.
Taking thes points in consideration the apartment is very expensive. We payed euro 120,- per night all-inn.

It has a tiny charming old style elevator.
It is well equipped with kitchen ware and it even cames with umbrellas. The only thing missing was an alarm clock.

Anonymous: 17/02/2010; Very nice flat - clean and modern, with a well equiped kitchen. Free ADSL in the flat too. The location at Rocafort is great; its only 15 minutes walk or 2 metro stops from Universitat, which is basically the heart of the city and the flat is far enough away from the centre to feel safe from pickpockets etc and the noise associated with areas like the Raval and Barrio Gotic. Highly recommended.

Check the address on a map before going. A taxi driver from the airport knowingly left as at the wrong address.

Building Liceu 3

Anonymous: 22/07/2008; The location is perfect, about a 3 minutes walk from Las Ramblas and the Liceu metro station. Sant Pau street is very cool and even has some shops and restaurants that are definitly not touristic.

The configuration of the appartment itself is also very appropriate. Everything is sparkling clean (brand new?). We had some friends who also rented an appartment come over and they were pretty jealous.

It might be a problem if you have a light sleep since there s people partying in the street and screaming pretty much all night long, but since you will probably be partying yourself and falling like a rock when you get to sleep, that shouldn t be a problem. It is very manageable.

susan green: 23/02/2010; These were 2 wonderful apartments: they were simply furnished (Ikea) but they had everything we needed and absolutely, perfectly, clean. Even the towels were great! They are also extremely well located-- the neighborhood has everything one would need: restaurants, grocery stores, metro station, etc. and it was a quiet street. The check-in process was flawless, and our calls or requests during the week (which were few) were immediately responded to. We especially appreciated Lodging in Barcelona arranging a taxi to the airport the day of our departure.
We loved Barcelona and would ABSOLUTELY recommend these apartments and Barcelona Lodging. Rarely have I worked with such a responsive organization.

Anonymous: 23/08/2008; The apartment is very comfortable. The jacuzzi on the roof can be used as a nice swimming pool for children.

The distance to the sea is a 5 minutes walk and the connection the the subway is very close by as well.

The apartment was well equipped. The garden furniture could need a replacement.

Benjamin Verhelst: 20/08/2009; The apartment was great for a bunch of guys on summer school at Pompeu Fabra. Really nice terrace (perfect for bbq), refreshing jacuzzi, the beach and the nearest metro station just 5 minutes away but nonetheless in a very quiet neighbourhood. Would recommend it for sure.

Brittany: 30/06/2009; This was a great little apartment in a quiet area in Barcelona. We rented it for four nights in order to use the kitchen for our stay. The apartment itself is very cute and cozy, and the air conditioner worked very well. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, but beware that there is no salt, pepper, oil, or any other cooking materials/condiments. The washing machine worked great and the bathroom was clean and nice. It was also very quiet, but one huge drawback was the skylight in the bedroom that had no cover! This means that at 6 AM the sun shines right on your face and there s no escape. This was the only negative point to the apartment, but it can be remedied by putting a pillow over your face in the morning. The apt is a 5-10 min walk to the nearest subway and is in a safe area. Note that when you arrive and you give your credit card for the deposit they will actually put a charge of 150 euros on the card, not just a check that the funds are available, which I thought was excessive, but as long as the money is refunded there s really no problem. I would definitely stay there again!

Maria made our arrival and access to the apartment a very smooth process and she was very generous with her time and explained much to us and answered a lot of questions...she couldn t have been more welcoming...she is a sweetheart.
We do wish that we could have prepaid the entire amount for our stay with a credit card or paypal...needing to arrive with so much cash in hand is very inconvenient when traveling. Upon arrival we purchased a nice cava from the wine shop downstairs and enjoyed it on the balcony as a perfect start to our Barcelona vacation. Highly recommended!

Anonymous: 02/12/2008; The apartment was good. It had everything you needed for a very good price. Although some furniture was a bit old, it was still neat and taken care of. The owner was very nice and friendly and we felt really welcome. The metro station is not far and if you don’t mind walking, you could easily walk to the central shopping centre of Barcelona. We enjoyed our stay. If you re looking for a practical, affordable en neat apartment, this is it!
